Stepping Stones is a nonprofit United Way partner agency offering year-round programs to people with disabilities at four locations in Greater Cincinnati. At Stepping Stones, children, teens and adults with developmental disabilities find pathways to independence that improve their lives and enable them to more fully participate in their communities.
Stepping Stones is known for innovation and creatively meeting unmet needs. Stepping Stones pioneered camping programs for children and adults who had few or no alternatives. Step-Up is the region’s first alternative autism education program of its kind for students on the autism spectrum who have exhausted options in the traditional school system. Stepping Stones serves the entire family. Children’s programs are open to siblings and others with mild or no disabilities, creating integrated and inclusive programs that encourage family unity and meet parents’ scheduling needs.
