Creative Community Connections (CCC) is a multi-faceted habilitation program for people with developmental disabilities. This program has three exciting components: Adult Day Support, Spare Time Choices (a recreation and leisure initiative), and First Class Opportunities (high-quality classes taught by professional instructors). In 2012, CCC began offering a full-time Adult Day Support program (as opposed to the previously part-time program) through the addition of On the Move (a fitness and recreation program hosted at the Fairborn YMCA) and Creative X-Pressions (a self-expression focused program hosted parent company Toward Independence’s Xenia office). In addition, the GO (Getting Out) Group offered through CCC’s Adult Day Support program meets weekly for outings into local communities. We are honored to be able to offer the CCC program, as we feel it provides meaningful support through choice and opportunity, impacting the lives of hundreds of people on a regular basis. As was previously stated, CCC is sponsored by Toward Independence, a 38 year-old experienced and quality nonprofit agency providing residential services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Toward Independence’s mission is to assist individuals with developmental disabilities to live the fullest life possible.
